Friends of the Farmstead
Saturday, October 17, 6 - 10 p.m.
Get ready for a can’t-miss night under the Texas stars — Friends of the Farmstead is back for 2026, and this year is extra special as we celebrate 15 years of this unforgettable tradition!
This milestone celebration brings our community together to honor the stories, people and experiences that make the Farmstead so special — while investing in what’s ahead. Enjoy craft cocktails, indulge in an authentic True Texas BBQ dinner (thanks to our friends at H‑E‑B), bid big and win big in our exciting live and silent auctions, and hit the dance floor for a night of live music and celebration you won’t forget!
We’re also proud to recognize this year’s Best Friends of the Farmstead, Jennifer & Luke Shertzer, whose dedication and generosity have helped grow the impact of HFM and ensure its legacy continues for generations.
Last year’s event sold out fast — and with this being our 15th anniversary celebration, tickets will go even quicker. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it!

Honoring Our 2026 Best Friends of the Farmstead
Jennifer & Luke Shertzer
At the 2026 Friends of the Farmstead Dinner & Auction, we are proud to recognize Jennifer and Luke Shertzer as our Best Friends of the Farmstead.
"Jennifer and Luke have never been the kind of people who simply ask how they can help—they see a need and jump in," said M'Lou Hyttinen, CEO of the Heritage Farmstead Museum. “Over the past 12 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside Jennifer and Luke. What began with a feature in the early days of Plano Magazine grew into an extraordinary friendship and partnership. They are true ambassadors for the Heritage Farmstead Museum. They have connected us with community leaders and business partners, shared their incredible marketing and design talents, served on our Board of Directors, volunteered at countless events, and even rolled up their sleeves to tackle projects that have made a lasting impact on the farm. Their entire family has grown up alongside the Farmstead, and their generosity has touched every part of our organization. Jennifer and Luke don't just support the Heritage Farmstead Museum, they invest their time, talents, and hearts to ensure it continues to thrive. Jennifer and Luke embody what it means to be Best Friends of the Farmstead, and we are honored to recognize them for the lasting impact they have made on our museum and our community."
On October 17, 2026, we will celebrate Jennifer and Luke's extraordinary contributions and raise a glass to the difference they have made—and continue to make—for the Heritage Farmstead Museum.
